The management of TERRY LAMB GROUP PTY LTD recognises the need to provide, promote and maintain a Safe and Healthy-working environment. Our aim in providing this Safety Statement is based on commonsense, appropriate work places Practices and the maintaining of equipment in good working order.

The aim of the Statement is to ensure all employees make every effort to prevent Accidents / Injuries, by means of respected Safe working practices, thus alleviating injuries and absence. All employees and staff prior to starting work are to be made aware of basic and site-specific Occupational Health and Safety issues via induction and/or refresher courses as required. Employees in accordance with relevant awards are issued with Personal Protective Safety Equipment, which you must maintain and wear at all times while performing Company duties.

The following are a minimum form of basic wear:

STEEL CAP BOOTS
HARD HAT (New construction Site only, may not be required on internal fit-out Contracts).

Site supervisors will maintain safety awareness, provide relevant training in all aspects of work being performed and administer supervision of work practices on a daily basis, to ensure employees perform all duties in accordance with documented safety procedures. Minimum requirements are as follows:
  1. Employees to wear safety hats and protective clothing, including ear protection around noisy machinery, eye protection  where sparks, splinters, shavings or filings are emitted. Face Dust Masks should be worn when working on or using material that could be harmful, i.e. concrete, fibrous cement, fibreglass and rock wool insulation.
  2. All employees must be industry trained by a Work Cover accredited trainer in the Construction Occupational Health and Safety Induction and receive a ‘Green Card’ as proof of compliance. All employees must produce a ‘Green Card’ when requested and carry it at all times whilst on site. Any employee not carrying their card may be sent from site without pay, till a card is produced.
  3. Persons affected by alcohol or drugs shall not be permitted to carry out any works and removed from site
  4. Employees to be actively involved in helping the company achieve a high standard of work in the projected time frame and as outlined in the company Quality Assurance Plan.
